No decision on Indian Premier League 2014 moving out of India yet: BCCI
The Board of Control for Cricket in India will make
a final decision on an overseas venue for the Indian Premier League
after the general election dates are announced. Team franchises could
lose about 40 per cent of their potential revenues if the T20 tournament
is played overseas.
The Board of Control for Cricket in India has kept on hold its decision
to move the Indian Premier League matches later this year to an overseas
venue, according to its president N. Srinivasan. The Board's working
committee, which met in Bhubaneswar on Friday, decided a final decision
will be made after the dates of the upcoming general elections are
announced.
